Camp Leo grows every year, and with nearly 150 campers in 2011, we no longer fit at Panhandle Lake... SO...

Beginning this summer, Camp Leo is excited to be returning to
Camp Berachah at Buck Creek !!

Located in the shadow of Mount Rainier,
near the Crystal Mountain Ski Resort on Highway 410!!


Due to the growing size of Camp Leo,
Junior Camp (entering 3rd through 5th grade) and Senior Camp (entering 6th through 8th grade) will be held during separate sessions.

The 2012 camp dates are:

Junior Camp: July 20 - 23
Senior Camp: July 15 - 20

For 21 years, Camp Leo has been devoted to serving children with diabetes in a fun, safe, educational, and medically sound environment away from home. Children are supported in learning to live a life of health and acceptance with diabetes. The overnight camping experience is a unique chance to meet others facing the same challenges of living with diabetes.

A volunteer staff of physicians, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, and counselors are closely involved with the day-to-day activities of the campers to ensure their medical well-being. This dedicated team will enable your children to gain confidence while building self-esteem, allowing them to develop their diabetes self-management skills. Together, we are committed to fostering the transition towards self reliance.

With the support of Lion’s Clubs throughout of Western Washington, all campers have the ability to attend camp, regardless of family income. Their scholarship mission states “no child is ever turned away because they can not afford our camp fees."

Camp Leo builds life long memories and relationships for people of all ages. They will leave empowered knowing the experience and knowledge gained will serve them for the rest of their lives.
